Painting is My Passion

I was born in Ahvaz, Iran. Sadly, the Iran v Iraq war took its toll on my birthplace, and I was forced to move to Isfahan. Isfahan is known as the cradle of Persian rugs, and I found inspiration there that started my journey into the world of art in 1996.Originally, my family encouraged me to enter medical school and keep my art as a hobby. It didn’t take long for me to realise that my passion was in painting, not medicine, and I entered The Isfahan Pardis Art College to study Modern Paintings.

Modern Contemporary Art

Almost immediately, my talent was recognised, and I was encouraged by my professors to hold an exhibition with two of my fellow art students. Our exhibits were completely sold out at this event, but for me, this wasn’t my ultimate goal. I was hungry to expand my knowledge and skills, so I took the opportunity to study under some of the most famous artists in Isfahan.

In 1999, Ladan started to study at Mahoud Farshchian workshop, the world-renowned master of Persian miniature paintings. She learnt and mastered new concepts and the skills to enable her to work with watercolours. Ink and Colorology(The Study of the Science of Color). Combined with her enthusiasm and passion this enabled her to create materials and unique colours. Ladan started to create artwork that everyone was amazed by; her masterpieces have been hosted by several museums and exhibitions in Iran.

The Illness Wasn’t Going To Defeat Me!

Such was my passion. I put my health on the line. Overwork led to osteoarthritis in both my neck and spine. Doctors pressurised me to stop painting for my body to heal, but true to form, I didn’t give up.
The illness wasn’t going to defeat me!

After all my studies and research into the worlds greatest painters, I was inspired. I started finding my own style and my own way of presenting my words. Thankfully my health improved, and I opened my own gallery in 2011.

I started to produce works incorporating all that I had learned and researched in the past. This led to a lot of interest in my work. I have exhibited in both local and international exhibitions, and my artworks have always been extremely well received and critically acclaimed. I now am well-experienced and well-educated. I live in the UK with my husband and two wonderful sons. This is my personal art gallery here in Hale, Cheshire.
